One part of Influence we are so excited about are our Workshops.  The Workshops will be on Friday evening, during the 8-9pm hour and the 9-10pm hour.  We envision these Workshops as being the time during the conference where you find “your people”–the kindreds, the future contacts, the people you can collaborate with.

1. The No Brainer Wardrobe and Madewell Style Sessions
The No Brainer Wardrobe is teaming up with Madewell in the Fashion Mall to host a Styling Event with the latest fall styles.  Look more put together with less thought and stress, that’s the heart of The No Brainer Wardrobe.

2. Using Social Media for Good
fashionABLE social media director Marisa VH Pardo and former Mocha Club social media director (and author!) Annie Downs will help you navigate the waters of using social media for good.

3. The Road to Traditional Publishing
Influence community leader Jenna Weber will discuss the road to publishing her first book White Jacket Required and answer your questions about traditional publishing.

4. Handmade Meetup
Meetup with women like you, who create and run handmade businesses.  Swap tips and make connections with other influential women.

5. Writing Workshop
Writing is the bread and butter of social media.  Use the ideas from this workshop to make your writing more vibrant and evocative.

6. Homeschool Meetup
Meet up with women who are homeschooling or thinking about homeschooling.  This will be an informal time of discussion and connection.

7. Adoption Meetup
Have you adopted?  Are you thinking about adopting?  Blogger Emily Anderson is hosting a meet-up for women who are thinking of or have adopted.  This will be a time to ask questions, receive support, and connect with women who share a heart for adoption.

8. Food/Health
Our food directly affects our health.  This workshop will help you connect with other women who are interested in a healthy lifestyle, as well as offer you a glimpse into the world of food blogging and recipe creating.

More information and details will come as the conference draws nearer, but we wanted to give you an idea of the things we have up our sleeve.  Our hope and heart is that the workshops and meetups will be a place of connection and education in some of the things nearest to your heart.
