Why is it so hard to remember that who we are has value? That the way we were created was no accident? That the very dreams, experiences and marks we bear were always meant to be part of our story?

If you, like me, are prone to truth amnesia, there are some things you need to hear.

You are an intentional and beautiful creation
.

Your story is not one authored by Chance.

Your gifts and visions are unique because they are uniquely yours.

No one else can be you.

Sure, there are countless other dreamers in this world and just as many doers. There are millions of books being written, businesses being born, products and plans and works of art being created at this very moment. But what about yours?

In this world of endless possibilities, there is room for you.

No one is going to give us what
you are going to give us. No one else can be you.

Does that mean we can sit on our hands and wait for it to happen, for the dream to arrive at our doorstep and knock? Nope. We have to get up. We have to move.

If we are going to engage in this world of dreamers and doers, we have to take that first step.

And then the next.

And then the next.

Influence is part of my next step.

I can’t see far down the road ahead. In fact, if I’m honest, I’m usually too distracted to see what’s right in front of me. But this next step was hard to miss, even for me. The One writing my story dropped it right in my path, practically tripping me mid-stride.

No, I can’t see far down this road I’m walking, but I am walking. I have begun, and that is something. And these fellow sojourners I’ve found – Jessi, Hayley, Casey, Jami, Emily, Nish, Maggie, Kara-Kae, Kacia, Raechel, and so many others – I see where they’re coming from and where they’re going, and I want to go alongside them, even just for a while.

Something is brewing. In me, in this community of readers and writers and creators and friends, in this amazing place in time where each and every one of us can have a voice.

Something is happening, and I don’t want to miss it.

Is Influence part of your next step? Grab your tickets before they’re gone!

I can’t wait to see you.
